Yearnings
REAP / Yearnings, 29th October, 2005.
As part of REAP in October 2004, artist Anne Bean invited six women artists to a private performance in the Scout Hut on the edge of Southwark Park. Totally undocumented and remembered only ‘chemically’ by each woman, they each re-performed their very different memory of the performance one year later on the same date, at the same time and in the same space. Lucy was one of the six artists, but was unable to be present in Southwark Park on the anniversary date. Instead she contributed her ‘remembering’ as writing - which was performed by Katie Hims. However she also performed the same ‘remembering’ in Chicago, in an empty rehearsal space - the timing coinciding with Katie’s performance of her writing in London.
